Environmental Restoration Program
Africa is grappling with the devastating impacts of climate change. We believe now is the time to jumpstart environmental transformation to avert the climate crisis and restore ecosystems. Ecosystems support all forms of life—human, wildlife, and biodiversity. By protecting ecosystems, we’ll preserve and save all life on earth. As part of our commitment to involving women and youth in the development agenda, our Environmental Restoration Program seeks to place youth and women at the very center of this ecosystem restoration journey to reverse the adverse effects of climate change and eventually heal our planet
Our Approach
Collaboration with our Women and Youth Groups
At Embrace Leadership International, we specifically see a vital role for youth and women to be involved as stewards of environmental restoration. Marshaling the energy, innovation, strength, ingenuity, and positivity within our youth and women groups will help us achieve sustainable solutions to environmental challenges.
In addition to offering training and economic empowerment to women and youths, we collaborate with these groups to harness the power of technology to plant more trees while creating sustainable businesses across the tree-planting and tree-growing value chain. Every group we work with is encouraged to plant trees within their communities. These trees will not only benefit the community’s environment but will also be helpful to the groups for economic purposes. To encourage participation, we offer beekeeping support to the groups that plant trees. We connect the groups to markets where they can sell all bee products produced.
