Bible Translation Program

The Bible is the most famous book, and we believe it should be available to everyone in their own language. Therefore, it’s our desire that every community has a bible—both written and audio—in their own language to make sure that the gospel reaches the masses, educated or otherwise. When the word of God is received in a language and context that an individual is familiar with, the impact it will have in their life will be more significant.

There are more than 2000 languages spoken in Africa, but the Bible is available in less than 10% of these languages. This has left access to a paltry educated few who understand major languages spoken in Africa, such as English, Swahili, and French. Therefore, our mission is to bridge this gap and support the translation of the Bible into as many African languages as possible.

Our Approach

Locally-Led Translation Process

A locally-led translation process is more authentic and sustainable. At Embrace Leadership International, we let the people do the translation themselves. Instead of delivering translated Bibles to communities, we partner with Wycliffe Associates to train communities on the translation process and then offer them full support throughout the process.

By supporting communities to translate the Bible into their local languages, we’ll also be helping them preserve their languages and cultures for future generations.
